$5 million granted for developing next generation carbon-nanotube composites
Two Ohio based companies, PolyOne Corporation and Zyvex Performance Materials, have received a fund of $5 million from State of Ohio for development and production of carbon-nanotube composites for use in manufacturing

The fund has been allocated to promote collaborative innovations for building high-tech research capabilities and it will support the ongoing joint research and development work between the two companies initiated several months ago under an agreement. The companies will develop and produce portfolio of next-generation carbon nanotube-filled thermoplastics for structural and electrically conductive applications

"(This) will also allow us to accelerate our hiring plans and more rapidly introduce our technology commercially," said Lance Criscuolo, president of Zyvex.
